Adobe is proud to announce that both Creative Cloud and Adobe XD have been recognized by Fast Company’s 2016 Innovation by Design Awards. Creative Cloud was selected as a finalist in the user experience category and Adobe XD has been selected as a winner in the apps category.
“This award is a big honor for the Adobe XD team who is passionately crafting this product to deliver the best possible experience to our users,” said Vincent Hardy, director of engineering at Adobe. “This win tells me that our unique development approach, working closely with the design community, and our focus on quality and performance is not only right by our customers but it’s right by the industry as well.”
“Just under two years ago we envisioned giving designers a new tool with which they could design at the speed of thought so as to overcome many of the new challenges they were facing,” said Andrew Shorten, director of product management at Adobe. “This was the beginning of Adobe XD and the reimagining of every aspect of design tooling that UX designers truly need. It’s incredibly exciting to see our efforts recognized by this innovation award – especially when we’re really at the beginning of the journey and there is so much more to come.”
Adobe’s new all-in-one UX design tool, Adobe XD, is revolutionizing the way designers design and prototype websites and apps. As a part of Creative Cloud, Adobe XD makes it easy to undertake wire framing, visual design, interaction design, prototyping, previewing and sharing, by bringing together the tools you need for experience design into a single solution. We’ve been regularly releasing updates to XD based on the amazing feedback we have received from the UX design community and this tool continues to evolve to better serve the needs of our users. Creative Cloud is a solution built for today’s designers who are expected to be everywhere and to do more within shorter deadlines than ever before. Creative Cloud brings together cornerstone applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro with mobile applications, supporting the shift to increasingly mobile design. This flexible workflow is enabled by the power of CreativeSync and mobile apps such as Comp CC, (to outline and layout ideas), Photoshop Fix (for powerful retouching and restoration) and Capture CC (utilizing a mobile camera to create assets like colors, shapes and paintbrushes).
There is no greater reward than recognition from your customers and peers. Here at Adobe we are thrilled to be recognized and look forward to continued innovation across all Creative Cloud. Congratulations to all other winners and finalists!
